It's nowhere near as impressive as they taught us it was. 3 locks going up and 3 coming down. That's it. Impressive as far as The construction given the technology they had...... But I am not impressed

Did a transit on a small Cruise Ship during the day in 2016. At 0:40 you can see two guys in a very hi-tech rowboat, coming out to catch the rope tossed to them by the guy in the bow of the Ship. That is passed to the Mule to tow them through. From 5:35 you can see a line of cars on the left. They drive across the canal below the closed gates. I seem to remember that the archway seen on the right lock at 6:10 and on the left of the canal at 6:24 is where they crossed. The new bridge at 6:40 is now open.
